How to use a wind effect on images & blends.:)

I started with this:-

1. Duplicate your image, by right clicking on the layer.

2. On the newly created layer go to Filters >> Blur >> Motion Blur.

I used the settings :-

Angle: 0 / Distance: 40
Step 3

3. Next we need to make the original image into a layer. To do this we double click on the bottom image - your original background, and call it Layer 1

4. Next, drag the bottom new Layer 1 over the layer with the motion blur on it and set the blending mode of the top layer - Layer 1 - to Soft Light.

Voila! It's as easy as that. Here are the end results, obvioulsy you would then add brushes & other effects etc:-
